About Coastguard's Cottage

Having retained the original coastguard’s “lookout” the cottage also has a pretty courtyard garden and uniquely for Whitstable, private parking for two cars!
The interior is spacious, light and airy with stripped wooden floors and a relaxed mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings.
Located on Island Wall, the end of terrace cottage overlooks the old coastguards’ parade ground, now converted to tennis courts, which are bookable at the nearby popular Windy Stores café.  Rackets and balls are available at the cottage for you to use and you’re very welcome to take out our kayak!
Buckets, spades, crabbing nets, collapsible beach chairs and table are all there for you to use.
Get on to the beach with a disposable BBQ, chilled wine, then wait for the sun to set…
